Sneinton is a suburb of Nottingham which is bounded by Carlton to the north, Colwick to the south, Meadow Lane to the south-west and Bakersfield to the east. The area is famous for the windmill which can be found on Sneinton Hill, the windmill is called the Green’s windmill and is still functioning as a working windmill. There are many events hosted there which are aimed at youngsters and there is also a small science centre.

Sneinton has one major road running through the area, Sneinton Dale and here you’ll find many shops including a barbers, chemists, newsagents, many fast food outlets, grocers, fabric/sari shops and a big Pak Food store. Over the years there has been a significant Pakistani influence which can be seen through Sneinton Dale, with butchers selling Halal meat, sari shops and also a few indian takeaways/kebab shops.

Much of the housing in Sneinton is made up of traditional Victorian terraces, with alot of houses rented out to students and other young professionals.  Holroyd Avenue has some attractive detached homes and on Sneinton Boulevard and Colwick Road you’ll be able to find some three storeys houses. Sneinton has alot of families and young first time buyers in the area so if you are a landlord with an empty property in Sneinton, Nottingham Lettings will be happy and willing to find you suitable tenants for your property.  Please contact us for more information.

Sneinton Hollows and Sneinton Hermitage are areas in Sneinton which can be found near the caves, which are a network of caves which is open to the public on special occasions. There are some desirable semis and a handful of unique homes in the area which makes them more sought after. These areas are closest to the city which is more attractive to buyers but in return house prices are much steeper as it is a more desirable location.

The all new Victoria Leisure Centre will open in March 2012. The government has spent £9 million pounds renovating the centre into a state of the art facility. When finished the centre will have a 70 station gym, a 6 lane 25m swimming pool with a childrens splash area, a teaching pool, multi-activity studio and sauna and steam rooms which include plunge shoers and relaxation suites.
