The Meadows is an area just south of Nottingham City Centre, it holds about 10,400 residents and is split up into two distinct areas – Old Meadows and New Meadows. Old Meadows covers Wilford Crescent East and West areas including all roads off this main thoroughfare. New Meadows extends as far eastwards as Queen’s Drive and west as far as London Road, which roughly covers the north half of The Meadows. The Meadows has very good transport links with the train station only walking distance away and you’re about 25 mins drive from the M1. Property in The Meadows are quite reasonably priced which is great for anyone wanting to be by the City and the station. In The New Meadows there are alot of apartments, flats and semi-detached houses, like on Lammas Gardens and St Saviours Gardens.There is one part in The Meadows which stands out from the rest, The Embankment which is the residential section along Victoria Embankment. There are some huge houses here, many which have been split into flats and these have gained a higher price tag because of their prestige. In the Old Meadows, there are mainly terrace houses and some semis. There are quite a few streets such as Mundella Road and Beauvale Road which have properties with 3 storeys, making them good lettings potential. Shopping in The Meadows is quite limited, there is a shopping centre called The Bridgeway Centre located just on the edge of the estate closest to the City Centre.
