Basford a northern suburb of Nottingham lies close to the River Leen, a tributary of the River Trent. It sits between Arnold, Aspley, Nuthall and Strelley and is close to junction 26 of the M1 Motorway.
There is both an ‘Old Basford’ and a ‘New Basford’ although New Basford is mainly Victorian.
